Freshman sire Aikenite got his first winner with Hotfoot. The 2YO gelding broke for the lead out of the gate and went on to win by 9 1/2 lengths over a sloppy track on Oct. 21 at Belmont Park.  Hotfoot is trained by Gary Contessa and owned by Dogwood Stables, which also campaigned the sire Aikenite.

Hotfoot was bred in Kentucky by High Peak Farm out of an unraced daughter of Unbridled’s Song.
